A completion certificate gives students a tangible marker for what they've accomplished. For many creators, it's also a professional differentiator — coaches and educators who certify completion are taken more seriously by clients who want credentials they can point to. The certificate generates automatically when a student completes the required lessons.
The certificate builder in MONDAi works within the Memberships course settings, drawing on the same completion tracking data that powers progress reporting.
Steps
Go to Memberships → Courses
Open the course.
Open the course settings
Find the Settings or Configuration option at the course level.
Navigate to the Certificate section
Enable the certificate
Toggle on.
Customize the certificate template
Fields typically include: course name (auto-populated), student name (auto-populated), your business name, completion date (auto-populated), a credential statement, and optional signature image.
Set the completion trigger
Choose: all lessons marked complete, a percentage of lessons complete, or specific lessons complete.
Preview the certificate
Use the preview function to confirm it looks correct with sample data.
Test with a student account
Mark all lessons complete in a test account and confirm the certificate generates and is accessible in the student portal.
What to Put in the Certificate
Write a credential statement that reflects the actual transformation: "This certifies that [Name] has completed the 6-Week Launch Intensive and demonstrated readiness to launch a premium coaching offer." Generic language ("has successfully completed") undersells the achievement and the program.

- Setting up a certificate before lessons are marked as completable — if lessons don't have a completion toggle, the trigger never fires.
