Tip
Before You Start
Update your business name, logo, and address in Settings → Business Profile. These appear on every invoice.
Invoices are appropriate when a client expects a formal billing document: corporate clients, high-ticket programs, or any situation where payment terms and a paper trail matter. MONDAi invoices are branded, trackable, and paid directly through Stripe.
Steps
Go to Invoices
Navigate to Commerce → Invoices. Click New Invoice.
Select the contact
Search for and select the contact this invoice is for. Their billing information populates from their contact record.
Add line items
Click Add Line Item for each product or service. Enter name, quantity, and unit price. The total calculates automatically. Add tax lines if applicable.
Set due date and terms
Set the invoice date and due date (Net 7, 15, 30, or custom). Add any payment notes in the notes field.
Preview and send
Click Preview to see the final invoice. Then click Send Invoice. The client receives an email with the invoice and a Stripe payment link. Track status as Sent, Viewed, Paid, or Overdue.
- Sending without previewing. Always preview before sending. Check amounts, contact info, and due date.
- No follow-up for overdue invoices. Set a workflow triggered by invoice overdue status to send an automated polite reminder.
- Business profile not updated. A blank or generic invoice looks unprofessional. Update Settings → Business Profile first.
