Every link MONDAi generates for tracking, unsubscribe pages, and email management points to a domain. Without this setup, those links point to a generic platform URL. With it, they point to a subdomain you own — so every part of the client experience, including the fine print, carries your brand.
This is a step most creators skip until they notice unbranded links in their email footers. The fix is a single DNS record and a setting inside MONDAi — the same configuration any GoHighLevel-based platform uses for its API link handling.
What the API Domain Controls
Once set, your API domain handles: email tracking pixels, unsubscribe page URLs, opt-out confirmation pages, and other system-generated links. Common subdomain choices: links.yourdomain.com or go.yourdomain.com.
Steps
Go to Settings → Domains
Select
Domains.Find the API Domain section
Scroll past your funnel/page domains to find the API Domain setting.
Enter your chosen subdomain
Type in the subdomain — for example,
links.yourdomain.com.Copy the CNAME target value MONDAi provides
You'll paste this into your registrar.
Add a CNAME record in your registrar
Type: CNAME | Host: subdomain prefix only (e.g.,
links) | Value: the CNAME from MONDAi | TTL: Auto or 3600Save and wait for DNS propagation
Allow 15 minutes to a few hours.
Return to MONDAi and verify the domain
Once confirmed, all tracking and management links route through your branded subdomain.

- Using the same subdomain for your API domain and your funnel domain — these need to be separate.
- Entering the full subdomain in the Host field — enter only the prefix.
- Verifying before DNS has propagated — wait at least 15 minutes.
- Skipping this step entirely — the links still work, but the unbranded version is visible in every email footer.
