Every workflow you build is a template for the next one. Cloning takes a working automation and adapts it for a new product, campaign, or audience without rebuilding. Seconds to clone. Minutes to adapt.
Steps
Go to Automation → Workflows
Find the workflow to clone.

Rename the clone immediately
Something specific that distinguishes it from the original.

When Cloning Makes Sense
- Same structure, new product: clone welcome sequence, swap product content
- Seasonal campaigns: clone last launch sequence, update dates and copy
- A/B testing: clone a workflow, change one variable, compare performance
- Not renaming the clone immediately — two workflows with the same name is permanent confusion.
- Activating the clone without reviewing the trigger — both workflows will fire.
- Not reviewing the tags the clone applies.
- Never using cloning at all — rebuilding the same structure from scratch is a significant time cost.
