How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication

Secure your MONDAi account with two-factor authentication. Add a second login layer so your account stays protected even if your password is compromised.

A strong password protects your account until someone gets hold of it. Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects it after that. With 2FA active, logging in requires both your password and a second verification — a code sent to your phone or generated by an authenticator app.

Your MONDAi account holds your contacts, your clients, your automations, and your revenue data. The underlying security infrastructure follows the same 2FA standards GoHighLevel applies across its platform.

What 2FA Protects

Even if your password is stolen through a phishing attempt or data breach on another service, an attacker still can't access your account without the second factor. Five minutes of setup now versus losing access to your entire business later.

Steps

  1. Go to your Profile settings

Click your profile avatar and select Profile or My Profile.

  2. Find the Security section

Scroll to the Security section within profile settings.

  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication

Toggle 2FA on and choose your verification method.

  4. If choosing SMS

Confirm your mobile number. MONDAi sends a test code — enter it to confirm.

  5. If choosing an authenticator app

MONDAi displays a QR code. Open your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password all work), select Add Account, and scan. Enter the current code to complete the link.

  6. Save your backup codes

MONDAi provides backup codes after setup. Save these in a password manager. If you lose phone access, a backup code is the only way in.

  7. Log out and test

Log back in to confirm the 2FA prompt appears correctly.

Common mistakes
  • Not saving backup codes — if you lose or replace your phone without saving them, account recovery becomes a support ticket.
  • Entering an outdated authenticator code — codes rotate every 30 seconds, wait for the next rotation if it doesn't work.
  • Setting up 2FA on a phone number you're about to change.
  • Skipping 2FA entirely because it feels like friction — that friction is the point.
