How to Use Attribution Reporting in MONDAi

Understand which funnels, campaigns, and touchpoints are actually generating contacts and sales in your MONDAi account.

Note

Note

Attribution in MONDAi tracks the source of contacts based on which funnel or form they came through. For cross-channel attribution with paid ads, also configure UTM parameters on your traffic sources.

Knowing that you made 10 sales last month is useful. Knowing that 7 came from your Instagram audience who downloaded your free guide and 3 from direct referrals tells you where to invest your next 30 days.

Where to Find Attribution Data

Contact source attribution is visible on the contact record itself — the Source field shows which funnel or form created the contact. In the main dashboard, the Contacts Added widget can be broken down by source if your funnels are correctly labelled.

Setting Up for Better Attribution

Name your funnels descriptively. A funnel called "Funnel 3" tells you nothing. "Free Guide — Instagram Traffic" tells you everything. This single habit transforms the usefulness of your attribution data.

Add UTM parameters to paid traffic links. Add ?utm_source=instagram&utm_medium=ad&utm_campaign=guide-launch to all paid traffic links. MONDAi captures UTM data on form submissions and passes it to the contact record, enabling you to trace a paying client back to the specific campaign that introduced them to you.

Review source attribution monthly. Over time you will identify which channels consistently produce not just contacts but buyers. Invest more in those and reduce effort in channels that produce contacts but not conversions.
