Before You Start
Connect Stripe before setting up affiliates. Affiliate commissions are tracked against real Stripe transactions.
An affiliate program turns your past clients, peers, and collaborators into a referral channel. MONDAi handles tracking, commission calculation, and payout management. You define the rules and invite the right people.
Structuring Your Commission Before You Build
Decide before touching the settings: commission type (percentage or fixed), rate, cookie duration (how long after clicking an affiliate link a purchase is attributed), and payout threshold. Common starting point: 20–30% recurring commission for subscription products, 20–40% one-time for courses.
Steps
Navigate to Affiliate Manager
Go to Affiliate Manager → Overview. Click Enable Affiliate Program if not already active.
Configure program settings
Set the default commission rate and type (percentage or fixed amount). Set cookie duration — 30 or 60 days is standard. Set the minimum payout threshold.
Create a campaign
Click Campaigns → New Campaign. Campaigns let you set different commission rates for different products or affiliate groups. Link the campaign to the specific products affiliates can promote.
Add affiliates
Go to Affiliates → Add Affiliate. Search for a contact already in your CRM, or add a new one. Each affiliate gets a unique tracking link tied to your campaigns.
Send affiliate their link
From the affiliate record, copy their unique referral link and send it to them. They share this link in their content, emails, or wherever they promote your offer.
Monitor and pay out
Go to Affiliates → Commissions to see all earned commissions. Approve commissions after the refund window has passed. Process payouts manually or via Stripe.
- Approving commissions before the refund window closes. If a buyer refunds after you have paid the affiliate commission, recovering it is difficult. Wait for the refund window before approving.
- No onboarding for affiliates. An affiliate with a link but no guidance produces poor results. Send a brief guide: what to say, who to send it to, what converts.
- Too many affiliates, not enough quality. Five motivated affiliates who genuinely believe in your offer outperform 50 who signed up passively.
