Do This Before Sending Any Campaigns
Sending emails without a verified sending domain significantly increases spam placement. Complete domain authentication before sending your first campaign or automation.
By default MONDAi sends email from a shared system domain. Setting up your own sending domain means emails arrive from you@yourbrand.com rather than a generic address, pass spam filters more reliably, and build domain reputation over time.
Steps
Navigate to Email Services
Go to Settings → Email Services.
Add your sending domain
Click Add Domain. Enter the domain you want to send from — typically your primary business domain (e.g.,
yourbrand.com).Copy the DNS records
MONDAi will display three DNS records to add: an SPF TXT record, a DKIM CNAME record, and a DMARC TXT record. Copy each one.
Add the records to your domain registrar
Log into your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.) and add each DNS record exactly as provided. DNS record types, names, and values must be entered precisely.
Wait and verify
Return to Settings → Email Services. DNS propagation takes up to 48 hours. Click Verify to check status. All three records should show Verified.
Set as default sending address
Once verified, set your default From name and From email address in Settings → Email Services → Defaults. This name and address appears on all emails sent from MONDAi unless overridden per-campaign.
- Sending campaigns before verification completes. Emails sent from an unverified domain have poor deliverability. Wait for all three records to verify.
- Incorrect DNS record entry. A single character error in a DNS record causes verification failure. Copy and paste rather than manually typing DNS values.
- Cloudflare proxy enabled on the DKIM record. If using Cloudflare, set the DKIM CNAME record to DNS Only (grey cloud), not Proxied.
