How to Set Up an Email Template

Create reusable email templates in MONDAi for your campaigns and automation sequences. Design once, use everywhere, and keep your brand consistent.

An email template in MONDAi is a reusable design and layout that you can select when composing any broadcast or automation email. Templates keep your brand consistent across every message your business sends — the same fonts, colors, header style, and footer layout whether you are sending a launch email or a routine weekly update.

Steps

  1. Go to Email Marketing → Templates

    Click Email Marketing in the left sidebar, then select Templates.

  2. Click Create Template

  3. Name the template clearly

    By style or purpose: "Broadcast — Standard", "Automation — Plain Text", "Launch — Featured Image".

  4. Choose a starting point

    Start from a blank template or select a pre-built layout.

  5. Design the template

    Set your brand colors, fonts, header, and footer. Add your logo. Configure the unsubscribe link placement.

  6. Add a body content placeholder

    Leave a clearly marked area for the actual email copy — this is what you replace when composing individual emails from this template.

  7. Save the template

    It is now available to select in any broadcast or workflow email action.

Build These Three Templates First

  • Broadcast template: Branded header, featured image slot, body, footer with unsubscribe.
  • Plain text style: No images. Just your brand font, body text, and a minimal footer. Highest deliverability.
  • Automation template: Clean layout, no heavy design — looks personal, not like a marketing email.
Common mistakes
  • Not including the unsubscribe link — legally required in every marketing email.
  • Over-designing templates — heavy design reduces deliverability and can trigger spam filters.
  • Building one template for all use cases — broadcasts, automation emails, and launch emails have different needs.
  • Not testing the template in both desktop and mobile view before using it in a live campaign.
