The 2026 portal update is the most significant redesign of the MONDAi client experience since launch. The changes improve navigation clarity, significantly improve the mobile experience, and deepen the integration between courses and community — so students experience both as one cohesive space rather than separate sections.

What's New

Unified navigation bar

The portal's navigation has been redesigned with a persistent bottom bar on mobile and a cleaner left sidebar on desktop. Courses, Community, Messages, and Profile are all one tap away from anywhere in the portal. The previous multi-level menu structure has been removed.

Community integrated into course pages

Each course module now has a Discussion tab alongside the lesson content. Students can comment, ask questions, and see peer responses directly on the module page without switching to the Community section. Existing community groups remain accessible — this is an additional entry point, not a replacement.

Progress dashboard on portal home

The portal home page now shows a personalised progress dashboard: courses enrolled and completion percentage, next lesson to complete, upcoming appointments, and recent community activity. Students land on this dashboard by default rather than a static welcome page.

Improved video player

The video player has been rebuilt with playback speed controls (0.75x to 2x), chapter markers if you've added timestamps to your video descriptions, and a progress memory that resumes from the last watched position across devices.

How to Enable the Updated Portal

1
Check your portal version
Go to Memberships → Client Portal → Settings. At the top you'll see your current portal version. If you see a prompt to upgrade to the 2026 portal, click it.
2
Preview before enabling for students
Use the Preview as Student option to see the new portal experience before your students see it. Check that your courses, community groups, and branding all display correctly.
3
Enable and notify students
Once you're satisfied with the preview, enable the update. Send a brief email to your students letting them know the portal looks a little different — the links and login are unchanged, only the layout has updated.

Mobile Changes

The 2026 update brings the Kollab app experience closer to the web portal experience. Students who access your program through the Kollab mobile app will see the same unified navigation, progress dashboard, and module-level discussion tabs as the web portal. The video player improvements (speed controls, resume from position) are also available in the app from version 3.2 onwards.

If your students are on an older version of the Kollab app, direct them to update from the App Store or Google Play to access the new features.
